Equinix IBX centers lead the industry for physical security, power availability, infrastructure flexibility and customer support. All areas of the center are monitored and recorded using CCTV, and all access points are controlled. Every IBX center is staffed with 24-hour security officers to augment physical security features, providing financial grade protection of our mission-critical Internet operations. UPS (uninterruptible power supplies) and emergency backup generators ensure our systems remain functioning in the event of public utility failure. The “N+1” HVAC (cooling) system keeps our servers operating in the correct environment.
