DegreeDriven provides site visitors with the online tools needed to further their education and their career. Yet another functional and useful online property from CareerBuilder, DegreeDriven complements the CareerBuilder mission by providing an online resource for people who are looking to advance their careers by finding a school that offers degrees in the specialty they desire.
The Project
School information is derived from the Integrated Post Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS), operated by a government entity, the National Center for Education Statistics. Duo developed a custom interface to permit the required data filtering. The desired content is augmented with advertisements that are dynamically served and targeted to insure relevancy to the site visitor’s inquiry. Moreover, a school listed in the database may purchase a more prominent listing and/or be featured in the related ads. The business proposition behind the site permits CareerBuilder to monetize the website by providing ad supported information to the site visitors as well as prospective student leads to the schools.
Because CareerBuilder wanted this site to be launched prior to the 2008 SuperBowl, Duo completed the project in 6 weeks.
